In May 2006, I looked at a Ford Focus that appeared to be a bargain. The seller was so convincing that I did not even bother to do a data check. Unfortunately, the car turned out to be on finance, meaning that any time I could have lost the car to the finance company.

I am currently trying to buy another car. This time I decided to use AutoCheck at the unbelievably low bargain price of £24.99. I checked 5 different cars, and guess what, a 2002 plate BMW which I was going to purchase had a large mileage discrepancy. Thank you very much AutoCheck.

I recently used your AutoCheck service when I was considering purchasing a motorcycle from a well known auction website. The bike looked in great condition on the auction, and it was very tempting to put a bid in - if I had, I would have won the auction, as it closed eventually with no bids.

The guy selling the bike had supplied his mobile number, so I called him and asked him the usual questions, like how long had it been owned, service history etc. The registration number was readily supplied, and I nearly didn't do the AutoCheck, as I had a 'good feeling' about the bike, and the chap that I had spoken to.

Anyway, I paid for the check, which immediately appeared, and was instantly concerned, as the bike came up as being a Cat C insurance write off. I phoned the seller, whose tone changed somewhat when he heard the news, he ridiculed the idea that his bike had any kind of history, urging me to buy. I didn't. A week later, the bike was relisted, stating that it was a Cat C write off!

The moral of the story? Do the AutoCheck or regret it! What's more, as I bought a Multiple Check, I've still got four checks left, so when I find another bike I like the look of, I'll be able to check it out at no further cost.

Hi I have just placed a deposit on a car that I have fell in love with, it's a 2000 V-reg Vectra 114,000 miles which is just motorway company mileage which is not a bother to me, the car is costing me £1050. BARGAIN.
